Christmas meat orders 2022: All you need to know

Free-range Christmas turkeys & meat orders - books open!

As always, it is the Christmas meat orders that kick starts the season for us at Cobbs! Our butchers are now able to take orders for all your festive meat requirements.

We are proud to continue working with Peach Croft Farm this Christmas! This family-run farm, based in rural Oxfordshire has been rearing award-winning turkeys and geese for over eighty years. The traditional rearing methods that they employ mean the welfare of their birds is paramount. Small flocks of birds are free to roam in the grassy paddocks and fields surrounding their farm.

These succulent, tasty birds are supplied in a carry home box with cooking instructions to help your Christmas day run smoothly.

Top tip: A 5kg bird is plenty for a family of 4 plus Boxing Day leftovers!

Christmas meats & trimmings

If turkey is not for you then don’t worry, we have lots of other delicious meat available to order too. This includes free-range poultry and pork, our delicious 28 dry-aged beef, locally sourced lamb, and those all-important pigs in blankets. You can view our price list online, and order forms are available from your local butchery counter.

The closing date for orders this year is Saturday 17th December.

Christmas is a busy time of year in our farm shops, particularly on meat collection dates, and therefore will be operating a time collection system at our butchery counters. This will allow us to manage the flow of numbers through the shop and ensure the safest and best possible shopping experience.

If you are looking for any advice or inspiration for your Christmas cooking, our butchery team is here to help! We would highly recommend being the early bird this year and placing your order as soon as possible.

Please note: All orders need to be placed in person with our butchery team because we require a £20 deposit to secure your order.
